Nowadays, standard cabinets are basically used in intelligent projects, such as 9U, 12U, 18U and other types of cabinets. Some are installed in weak current shafts and some are installed in houses. So, do you know the specific dimensions of these 9U, 12U, 18U How old is it?
The common standard cabinet refers to the 19-inch standard cabinet that we usually see. It uses a special character "U" to indicate the height of the equipment installed in the cabinet, which is the effective use height inside the cabinet, 1u=4.45 cm.
And 19 inches is its width (that is, 48.26cm=19 inches). Therefore, standard equipment panels using 19-inch standard cabinets are generally manufactured according to N U specifications. This is what we call several U cabinets. For some non-standard equipment, most of them can be installed into the 19-inch chassis through additional adapter baffles and fixed.
The panel width of most engineering-grade equipment is 19 inches, and the installation hole spacing is 465mm. Therefore, as long as the cabinet can meet the installation of most 19-inch equipment, the cabinet is a standard cabinet. 1 inch = 25.4mm, 19 inches = 482.6mm. The appearance of a 19-inch standard cabinet has three conventional indicators: width, height, and depth. The physical width of the cabinet is usually 600mm and 800mm.
The height generally ranges from 0.7M-2.4M, depending on the number of equipment in the cabinet and the unified style. Usually manufacturers can customize special heights. Common finished 19-inch standard cabinet heights are 1.6M, 1.8M and 2M. The depth of the cabinet generally ranges from 600mm to 1000mm, depending on the size of the equipment in the cabinet. Usually manufacturers can also customize products with special depths. The common depths of finished 19-inch standard cabinets are 600mm, 700mm, 800mm, and 900mm. The structure of the 19" standard cabinet is relatively simple, mainly including the basic frame, internal support system, wiring system, and ventilation system.
The specified dimensions are width (48.26cm=19 inches) and height (multiples of 4.445cm). Because the width is 19 inches, a rack that meets this requirement is sometimes called a "19-inch rack." The basic unit of thickness is 4.445cm, and 1U is 4.445cm.
